Helter Skelter Task Force is a screen-printed collection built around a fictional campaign and identity system. After reading Helter Skelter, I became fixated, not on the murders, but on reclaiming the word itself—once playful, now tainted by a maniac. This project imagines Satan as an army general or Uncle Sam-type figure, enlisting followers to stir shit up under his special orders.

The look of the collection was based heavily on motor cycle gangs, americana, but most importantly, the military. As someone who is very anti-war, I thought to play into the irony of it, as well as associate the anti-christian satanic aspect, would create a humorous juxtapositon but still say something of value. The pieces themselves were hand picked and curated from thrift stores, estate sales, and deadstock army surplus stores. Due to its one-of-a-kind nature,  every piece came with a special tag and “soldier number”as a fun gimmick and momento to its respective owner,

For this collection, I wanted a promotional video and brought in Alexa Najar (@alxanjar) and David Torres (@dee___toe) who collectively are (@endless.brainrot) to create it. The concept pulls from WWI and WWII American propaganda—war bonds, patriotism, and especially the “We Want You” Uncle Sam poster. We shot in the Mojave Desert to create a juxtaposed non-American, hellish landscape, drawing inspiration from Mad Max and Tank Girl. Friends acted as soldiers, fully dressed and styled in the collection.
