Wazoo’s Guide to the Underground (music scene)
is a love letter to the immensely creative people I'm lucky to call collaborators and friends. Centered on the Los Angeles underground punk and indie music scene, the zine follows the cartoonified noise-punk band Wazoo as they navigate what its like to be a part of the scene, the show runners, vendors, musicians, and everything in between . Even since its release, so much has shifted and evolved. I believe printed paraphernalia like zines preserve these fleeting moments of artistic symbiosis—no matter how fringe or underground they may be. Acts as a sister project to Houseshow (see here)
